The DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment’s programming department provides video and audio content for its three television channels, District of Columbia Network (DCN); DC Council Channel (DCC); and the District Knowledge Network (DKN). The programming department also engages media literacy and provides podcasts and community affairs programming. Programming is created through a stellar, award-winning team of videographers, editors, producers, and AV production specialists, and includes live council and board of education proceedings, live mayoral events and announcements, studio programming, field packages, public service announcements, emergency updates, and an array of community events and ‘infotainment’ programming. This programming is distributed 24 hours per day, seven days a week via channels provided by three cable providers, (Comcast, RCN, and Verizon). Take a look at some of the programming.
