WASHINGTON, D.C. – The DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment (OCTFME) is proud to recognize Grounded, a wellness-driven plant shop and creative studio in Historic Anacostia, as its May 2025 Location of the Month.
Located at 1913 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Grounded is a sanctuary for creativity, healing, and storytelling. With biophilic design, minimalist interiors, and a serene aesthetic, the venue offers an ideal setting for filmmakers, photographers, and content creators looking for a space rooted in culture, nature, and wellness.
“Grounded is exactly the kind of location that reflects DC’s creative heartbeat—visionary, rooted in culture, and designed to inspire,” said LaToya Foster, Director of OCTFME. “From its beginnings as a pandemic-born e-commerce brand to becoming a vibrant anchor in Historic Anacostia, Grounded is proof that creativity and community can bloom anywhere, and DC is where it belongs.”
“We’re honored to be recognized as Location of the Month,” said Danuelle Doswell, CEO of Grounded. “Grounded was born out of a desire to help people reconnect with themselves and the natural world. To now be rooted in Historic Anacostia - a neighborhood full of culture, resilience, and creativity—is a full-circle moment. We welcome opportunities to collaborate, create, and continue building a space where healing and storytelling can thrive.”
