Washington, D.C. – Get ready to dive into the vibrant world of music and entertainment, as the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment (OCTFME) proudly presents 7DrumCity as the Location of the Month (LOTM) for June 2024. 7DrumCity stands out as an audition and performance space in the Truxton Circle/Elkington neighborhood of Washington, D.C., offering a dynamic space for musicians of all levels to express their creativity and perform. With 400 active students honing their drums, guitar, voice, and piano skills, 7 unique rehearsal spaces and a sensational 75-person music venue known as The Pocket, 7DrumCity is a haven for the DMV music community. Additionally, 7DrumCity is available as a location for media production filming and still photography if you are working on a project that would benefit from a music rehearsal space backdrop.

7DrumCity is an outstanding location features 17 distinct rooms with diverse backdrops, including mesmerizing murals, industrial exposed brick, majestic cathedral ceilings, and a state-of-the-art lighting rig in its premier venue, The Pocket. The Pocket, an intimate 70-capacity venue on the second floor of the newer building which opened its doors in 2019, prepares to be immersed in an electrifying atmosphere. Experience impeccable acoustics, an impressive lighting rig with dazzling effects, and a cozy back bar serving delicious local-owned branded beverages. Bands from all over have turned to 7DrumCity to shoot their music videos, and the venue has even been used for captivating film productions.
