HBO Series Veep Returns to the District for Filming

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Veep, a new comedy series from HBO, returned to the District today for filming with lead star Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm). District of Columbia Mayor Vincent C. Gray visited the set today where he spoke to Veep producers about filming more of the series in Washington, DC, where the show is based.

Louis-Dreyfus plays former Senator Selina Meyer, who becomes Vice President, only to discover the job is nothing like she expected, but everything she was warned about. Veep came to the District for filming in late October and filmed some of the pilot in the District in late March.

Filming is taking place today at Constitution Hall. The series will air in 2012.
