Former 6th District Police Station Receives April 2017 Location of the Month Distinction

The Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment (OCTFME) recognizes the Former 6th District Police Station as the April 2017 Location of the Month.

Located at 42nd Street and Benning Road NE, the space formerly was occupied by the Metropolitan Police Department. The venue is centrally located in the District’s Deanwood neighborhood in Ward 7.

The venue has an intake and cell-block area, with several interrogation rooms and offices. The venue also offers a property room and counter with a steel mesh divider along with a gym with male and female locker rooms. There’s ample off-street parking to accommodate a police station worth of cars. The property won’t last and is scheduled for demolition later in 2017.
