DC Film Office Releases 2011 Washington DC Production Resource Guide

The DC Film Office today released the 2011 edition of its ‘Washington DC Production Resource Guide,’ which showcases the brilliant locations that make the District of Columbia a unique filming location, serves as a comprehensive guide to the production process in DC, and provides a directory of local crew and production support services.

The directory includes listings of pre-production resources, production staff and technical crew, producers and production companies, equipment and stages, post production facilities, and local vendors providing the full range of support services required for any type of production.

The 2011 edition of the Guide is available in print at the Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, and in e-book and searchable database format on the Film Office web site. Also, for the first time, the 2011 crew and vendor directory will be available as a mobile app, compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The application will be available for free download from the Apple App Store later this month.

The crew and vendor list is maintained by Oz Publishing on behalf of the DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development. District of Columbia residents and District-based businesses are eligible for free listings in the directory, which is printed once per year, and updated regularly online. To find out how to get listed in the directory, please visit the DC Film Office web page, or call 202-727-6608.
