The DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development (DC Film Office) today launched its first ever podcast series, Reel Talk with Film DC. The podcast series is an interview- based program featuring professionals and experts in the film, television and related industries.
DC Film Office interns participating in Mayor Vincent C. Gray’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) played an integral role in designing and hosting the first few segments of the podcast series. The inaugural podcast segment is hosted by DC Film Office intern Basheerah Abdusshahid, and features Leslie Green, senior communications manager with the DC Film Office. They discuss the mission of the DC Film Office, the various activities and functions of the agency and some of the most commonly asked questions the office fields.
The series of podcasts to follow will feature some of the region’s and the country’s most highly sought after and respected location managers who have worked on a number of blockbuster productions filmed in the District such as Forrest Gump, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and National Treasure.
