April 2016 - Location of the Month - African American Civil War Memorial and Museum

Wednesday, April 13, 2016
AA Civil War Memorial

The DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment is pleased to honor the African American Civil War Museum in Washington, DC as the April 2016 Location of the Month.
The African American Civil War Museum was incorporated in 1992 to tell the largely unknown story of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) and African American involvement in the American Civil War.

As a tribute to these soldiers, the African American Civil War Memorial was dedicated in July of 1998 under the leadership of Dr. Frank Smith Jr., and Colin Powell.
